Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the operational management of all housekeeping functions across accommodation, pool, public, crew and other designated areas. Reporting to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Manager, the role ensures that daily standards are met, guest satisfaction is maintained, and the team delivers exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day housekeeping operations in assigned areas (accommodation, pool, public/crew zones).
• Supervise a team of at least 10 employees, ensuring adherence to cleaning standards and safety protocols.
• Support the Housekeeping Manager in achieving division objectives and maintaining service quality.
• Oversee proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Conduct job safety analyses and enforce safety‑related procedures.
• Maintain accurate records using company software and reporting tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping supervisory experience in a large 4‑ or 5‑star hotel (500+ rooms), cruise line, or similar hospitality environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of at least 10 staff members.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
• Good command of English; additional languages such as Spanish or French are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using hospitality software such as SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, and Kronos.
• Computer literacy and ability to navigate various software packages.
