Software Engineer

About the role

The Software Engineer will join the Product Development team to design, build, and maintain software solutions that meet both functional and non‑functional requirements. Working closely with cross‑functional partners, you will help translate customer needs into high‑value products while adhering to established coding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate actively in the full SDLC, including planning, stand‑up, and story grooming.
• Apply Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI) practices.
• Deliver small, independent tasks as an individual contributor.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, QA, Experience Design, and other technical staff to refine requirements and designs.
• Contribute to cross‑functional teams from inception through delivery.
• Improve development processes, standards, and best practices.
• Pair‑program with junior and senior developers and follow Sovos coding conventions.
• Develop expertise in at least one technical area such as databases, SAP, or web development.
• Maintain and update documentation, triage simple escalations, and troubleshoot bugs within your domain.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6–12 months of relevant software engineering experience.
• Ability to interact effectively with teammates, customers, and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to travel minimally to company locations or events.
