Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Product Development team. The role involves designing, building and maintaining software solutions that meet functional and non‑functional requirements while collaborating closely with product and design stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Participate actively in all SDLC activities such as planning, stand‑up and story grooming.
• Apply Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI) practices.
• Deliver small, independent tasks as an individual contributor.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Development Managers, QA, Experience Design and other technical staff to refine requirements and designs.
• Work on cross‑functional teams to deliver solutions from inception through customer delivery.
• Improve processes, standards and best practices.
• Pair program with junior and senior developers and support complex stories and tasks.
• Write code that follows Sovos coding standards and conventions.
• Develop expertise in at least one technical area such as databases, SAP or web development.
• Maintain and update relevant documentation.
• Triage and resolve simple engineering escalations.
• Collaborate with team members to solve complex problems and troubleshoot issues within your domain.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 6‑12 months of professional software engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel minimally to company locations and events.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with teammates, colleagues and customers.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems.
