Senior Backend Engineer Tech Lead (3-4 month contract) – Remote

About the role

FullStackFullStack is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer Tech Lead to join a U.S. client’s team for a 3‑4 month remote engagement. You will work closely with designers and engineers, shaping architecture and delivering high‑performance backend solutions for mobile‑first e‑commerce platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate daily with the client’s product team and lead backend design decisions.
• Architect Backend‑for‑Frontend (BFF) services and robust API middleware.
• Build and maintain scalable microservices and event‑driven components on AWS.
• Guide the team through technical challenges and represent engineering in client‑facing meetings.
• Ensure continuous integration, delivery pipelines, and code quality.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in technical leadership influencing architecture.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed four‑year college degree.

Required skills

• Node.js and TypeScript.
• AWS services: EC2, ECS, Lambda, ElastiCache, S3, CloudFront.
• MongoDB and backend deployment pipelines.
• Salesforce OCAPI/API, CMS‑driven content management, mobile third‑party integrations.
• Design and security of scalable microservices and event‑driven architectures.
• AI development tools: LangChain or LlamaIndex for LLM integration.
• CI/CD, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
