Quality Assurance Manager LATAM

About the role

Skretting, a Nutreco company, is seeking a senior Quality Assurance Manager for the LATAM region. Based in Durán, Ecuador, you will join the regional leadership team to drive quality strategy, regulatory compliance and raw material quality, turning quality into a competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the regional strategy for Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs and Raw Material Quality aligned with LATAM business objectives.
• Lead and develop high‑performance QA, Regulatory and Raw Material Quality teams.
• Design, implement and optimise quality management systems (HACCP, certifications, internal standards) ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Lead internal and external audits, manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Oversee laboratory operations and quality analysis to enable timely decision‑making.
• Manage raw material quality in partnership with Procurement, including supplier evaluation and qualification.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Supply Chain, Procurement and Operations to align quality, availability and business needs.
• Lead root cause analysis, incident management and crisis response to minimise operational and reputational risks.
• Anticipate regulatory changes and maintain relationships with authorities and certification bodies.
• Handle customer complaints, develop KPIs and promote a quality‑mindset culture.

Required profile

• Senior professional with strong strategic thinking and solid technical expertise in quality assurance.
• Proven ability to lead high‑performance teams in complex, multi‑country environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of building internal credibility.
• Results‑oriented with a long‑term vision and hands‑on execution capability.
