About the role
The Operator I is responsible for running a variety of converting, packaging, and boxing equipment on a high‑volume production line. The role ensures that cloth‑based wipes are produced, packaged, and shipped with consistent quality while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate converting line equipment to load, thread, cut, fold, saturate, and stack cloth materials.
- Run packaging equipment, loading film and labels to create complete wipe packages.
- Manage automated pick‑and‑place boxing lines, load boxes onto skids, shrink‑wrap, and transport pallets using a pallet jack.
- Perform cleaning, hand‑packing, and other support activities as needed.
- Read and follow equipment procedures, set up machines safely, and adjust settings to meet product specifications.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot failures, and involve maintenance when required.
- Document machine parameters and product attributes on required logs and forms.
- Provide backup for other positions and complete additional projects assigned by management.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED, or at least two years of experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and understand charts, indicators, control instructions, and operator checklists in English.
- Basic math skills, including fractional and decimal calculations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in warm or cold conditions.
