Lead Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

Thoughtworks is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to design and deliver end‑to‑end, scalable ML systems for high‑impact client projects. You will combine hands‑on development with strategic leadership to shape the direction of ML initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical vision for ML solutions, aligning them with business objectives.
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of ML pipelines, model training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Oversee program inception, assess technical feasibility, and allocate resources for new systems and applications.
• Champion Responsible AI practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Mentor and guide a team of engineers through hands‑on coding, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with emerging ML technologies and integrate relevant advances into Thoughtworks’ offerings.
• Measure the impact of ML initiatives and iteratively refine approaches to deliver tangible client value.
