Junior QA Engineer – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to join our remote team across Latin America. The role focuses on manual testing of backend and web applications, with a strong emphasis on API validation, internal logic, and process reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and translate them into test cases and basic testing documentation.
• Execute functional and regression manual tests for backend and web features.
• Perform API testing using Postman, validating REST services and JSON/XML responses.
• Report and track defects in Jira, ensuring clear and reproducible bug descriptions.
• Validate fixes and retest after bug resolution.
• Collaborate closely with developers to understand logic and raise questions.
• Maintain clean QA documentation and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Support existing test scripts when needed.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in software development, QA, or a hands‑on technical role.
• Strong interest in quality assurance and product reliability.
• Basic knowledge of manual testing processes, APIs/REST concepts, and JSON responses.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing tools.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn quickly.
• English proficiency of at least B2 level.
