Business Analyst / Project Manager – Finance & Trading Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong Project Management experience to support finance and trading systems. The role works closely with front‑office, middle‑office, operations, risk, compliance and technology teams to deliver process improvements and system enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements from a wide range of stakeholders.
• Lead workshops, interviews, process‑mapping sessions and project status meetings.
• Translate objectives into functional specifications, user stories, workflows, data requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Manage project plans, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies and deliverables.
• Support initiatives involving trading platforms, order‑management, portfolio‑management, risk and reporting tools.
• Analyse current‑state processes and recommend future‑state improvements.
• Coordinate user‑acceptance testing, defect tracking and business sign‑off.
• Prepare project documentation, status reports, executive updates and training materials.

Required profile

• Business Analyst experience in finance, trading, investment management, capital markets or related financial services.
• Project management experience delivering technology, operations or process‑improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle (capture, execution, settlement, reconciliation, valuation, risk, reporting).
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
• Excellent communication skills for translating business needs to technical teams and vice‑versa.
