Backend Engineer – Remote (Microservices, .NET/Java)

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to modernize legacy monolithic applications into scalable microservices architectures. The role is fully remote and focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing high‑performance backend services using .NET or Java.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the transition from monolithic to modular microservices using .NET or Java.
• Lead decomposition of legacy codebases while maintaining system stability and data integrity.
• Develop and optimize robust RESTful APIs for inter‑service communication.
• Apply advanced refactoring techniques to improve code quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Integrate CI/CD practices to accelerate deployment cycles.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define architectural standards and migration best practices.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in backend or software engineering.
• Proven experience modernizing legacy monoliths into microservices.
• Strong proficiency in either .NET/C# or Java ecosystems.
• Solid experience with API design and RESTful migrations.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
