Ruby on Rails Tech Lead (Auth0) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Ruby on Rails Tech Lead who will own the delivery of backend services while driving security‑first API design. Working remotely, you will partner with an internal Staff Engineer to shape system architecture, write technical specifications, and manage Auth0 integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the team’s work end‑to-end, escalating issues and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Staff Engineer to design systems and produce detailed technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails backend services with an API‑first, security‑focused approach.
• Implement, configure, and manage Auth0 authentication and authorization flows.
• Unblock the team, ensure steady delivery pace, and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails development.
• Hands‑on experience with Auth0 and security‑first API design.
• Proven ability to lead a team while remaining an active contributor.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
