Senior Software Engineer

About the role

North Highland is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Quito team. You will help migrate an outbound EDI platform from IBM legacy systems to modern AWS‑based microservices, turning strategic vision into tangible value for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack solutions using C#/.NET, Angular and AWS services.
• Build and optimise APIs, micro‑services and PostgreSQL data models.
• Implement data transformation and mapping logic for EDI transactions and partner integrations.
• Collaborate on integration workflows with Boomi or Cleo and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Ensure code quality through testing, CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
• Participate in client‑facing activities such as stand‑ups, PR reviews and technical discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their code.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑stack development experience.
• Strong English communication skills for client‑facing work.
• Authorized to work in Ecuador without visa sponsorship.
