Senior QA Automation Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Toptal is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join its Core Team and help build an AI‑powered platform. This fully remote position focuses on maintaining and expanding automated test coverage for internal web applications and Slack bots used by engineering leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve automated test suites using RSpec, Jest, Playwright and Cypress.
• Design and implement new test frameworks for emerging products from scratch.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities across multiple tech stacks.
• Identify, document and track bugs, ensuring thorough coverage of edge cases.
• Conduct white‑box and black‑box reviews of code and test results.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand features and define quality criteria.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in QA automation for web applications.
• Strong product knowledge and ability to understand complex architectures.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, fully remote environment.
• Fluent English communication; no visa sponsorship provided.
