Kubernetes Platform Architect (Remote)

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a senior Kubernetes Platform Architect to shape enterprise‑wide Kubernetes strategies for a global clientele. You will lead the design, governance, and evolution of multi‑cluster, multi‑cloud platforms, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and cloud‑native.

Key responsibilities

• Design and govern enterprise‑wide Kubernetes architectures across multi‑cluster and multi‑cloud environments.
• Define platform standards, multi‑tenancy models, and governance frameworks.
• Lead upstream contributions to the CNCF ecosystem and drive enhancements to Kubernetes and Rancher (RKE) components.
• Architect core platform primitives such as storage (CSI/Longhorn), networking (CNI), and cluster state (etcd).
• Implement advanced GitOps workflows and platform automation at scale.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, software engineering, or platform architecture.
• Proven expertise designing enterprise‑wide Kubernetes and multi‑cluster solutions.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals, including etcd, CNI, CSI, and container runtimes.
• Hands‑on experience contributing to CNCF projects and upstream Kubernetes development.
• Strong proficiency in Go and systems programming for distributed infrastructure.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
