Housekeeping Manager – Cruise Ship

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through immaculate cleanliness and visual standards aboard a cruise ship. This role leads a team of supervisors and crew, ensuring premium service that is both memorable and consistent with Royal Caribbean’s brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own the overall cleanliness and visual impression of all public areas, cabins, and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Develop, coach, and evaluate housekeeping supervisors and crew members, fostering a positive work environment.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and USPH guidelines.
• Manage inventory, chemical handling, equipment usage, and personal protective equipment protocols.
• Collaborate with other departments to align service standards and resolve guest issues promptly.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years progressive housekeeping management experience, preferably in upscale hotels, resorts, or cruise ships.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and waste handling procedures.
• Ability to assess talent, develop leadership, and coach front‑line employees.
• Familiarity with human‑resources policies and practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using industry software such as SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, and Kronos.
