EU Global Gateway Coordination Expert

About the role

NTU International is building a network of senior experts to support the European Union’s Global Gateway Initiative. The role focuses on coordinating investment‑oriented development programmes, strengthening local expert networks, and enhancing project preparation across partner countries receiving EU external cooperation support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement reform strategies and policy actions aligned with Global Gateway priorities.
• Coordinate activities across priority sectors and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Identify, prepare, and pipeline investment projects that meet EU criteria.
• Conduct regulatory, institutional and sector analyses to inform feasibility studies.
• Facilitate collaboration between partner‑country institutions, IFIs, private sector actors and development partners.
• Support stakeholder engagement, dialogue facilitation and institutional coordination processes.
• Contribute to donor coordination and alignment with EU external cooperation objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in development cooperation, infrastructure, investment or related fields.
• Proven experience in EU‑funded external cooperation programmes.
• Background in project preparation or coordination under the EU Global Gateway framework, Team Europe initiatives or similar programmes.
• Experience working with partner‑country institutions, IFIs, development finance institutions or private sector stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, coordination and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• English proficiency at C1 level (mandatory); additional languages are a plus.
