CloudOps Engineer - Remote (Ecuador)

About the role

We are looking for a CloudOps Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. The role focuses on ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our cloud‑based infrastructure while driving automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and support cloud infrastructure with an emphasis on AWS and Terraform
• Maintain application infrastructure supporting customer‑facing systems
• Assist in modernizing and improving legacy infrastructure using cloud‑native services
• Support production and non‑production environments for deployment, testing, and troubleshooting
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to support production systems and incident response
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and application issues related to performance, reliability, and scalability
• Follow established change management and operational procedures
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and operational guidelines
• Monitor systems using observability tools and escalate issues as needed
• Collaborate closely with CloudOps, Engineering, and other teams to support platform stability

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
• 2–4 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or a related role
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP acceptable)
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts (Terraform experience strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic)
• Understanding of basic security best practices in cloud environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with teammates
