Trade Marketing Manager South America

About the role

Continental, a German multinational supplying solutions for vehicles, machines, traffic and transport, is looking for a Trade Marketing Manager for South America based in Quito. The role manages trade activities, promotions and events for the brand and its clients, guides the team and external suppliers, and supports internal demands.

Key responsibilities

• Channels & trade image: create and produce POS materials for exhibitions, implement new POS identification and trade-brand guidelines, and handle merchandising administration (production, distribution).
• Promotions: develop and run trade and promotional campaigns for PLT tires, including the special dates calendar.
• Events: plan, implement and evaluate institutional events (brand, dealer, sales, product launches, sponsorship) and develop tool-box manuals for events such as plant visits and pit stops.
• Loyalty programs: manage PLT and TT loyalty programs linked to channel development and sell-out in South America.
• Budget: administer the annual trade marketing budget for PLT and TT and control expenses in line with finance.

Required profile

• Degree or postgraduate degree in administration, communication, engineering or marketing.
• More than 5 years of experience in communication/marketing leadership, including 5 years leading teams.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and coordinating advertising agencies.
• Experience with international and multifunctional teams.
• Fluent English is mandatory; Portuguese is an asset.
