Freelance Creative Marketing Translator & Transcreator (Spanish, Ecuador)

About the role

Acclaro is recruiting up to 2 freelance Creative Marketing Translators and Transcreators (English to Spanish for Ecuador) to support ongoing marketing, entertainment and multimedia localization projects for an active global client. This remote opportunity suits experienced linguists with an excellent command of Spanish as used in Ecuador and the creativity to adapt content for Ecuadorian audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Translate and creatively adapt marketing, entertainment and multimedia content so it resonates with local audiences.
• Work with internal and linguistic teams to ensure high-quality output across platforms.
• Research cultural nuances so translations go beyond the literal.
• Review and give feedback on marketing projects.

Required profile

• Native-level Spanish for Ecuador, with a strong understanding of Ecuadorian culture, consumer behaviour and marketing communication styles.
• 3+ years of translation and transcreation experience, preferably in marketing.
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Marketing, Linguistics or a related field.
• Strong grasp of marketing principles and the ability to adapt tone and style to brand guidelines; entertainment or global brand content experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with multimedia entertainment content such as TV series and movie synopses, title localization, PR and creative TV/movie content is a plus.
• Experience with CAT tools is a plus.
