Lead Data Engineer - Migration & Integration

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive the migration of an on‑premises Oracle and Boomi environment to Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory. The role combines technical leadership, hands‑on engineering, and client coordination to ensure a smooth, on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of the migration from Oracle/​Boomi to Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory.
• Define and guide architecture and design decisions across database and ETL workstreams.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact with the client, translating requirements into actionable tasks.
• Coordinate database migration, ETL migration, integration, validation, and deployment activities.
• Manage project timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables while keeping stakeholders informed.
• Provide technical support to engineers, resolving design, performance, and data‑quality issues.

Required profile

• Strong experience leading data migration, ETL, or data‑platform modernization projects.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, SQL development, and data validation.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server and/or Azure SQL.
• Proven ability to guide technical architecture and design decisions.
• Excellent client‑facing communication and documentation skills.
