HR Business Partner – Ecuador

About the role

The Local HR Business Partner in Ecuador will translate and implement Symrise’s global HR strategies at the site level. Acting as the trusted advisor to local leadership and the main point of contact for employees, the role ensures day‑to‑day operational support for HR policies, programs and high‑touch processes.

Key responsibilities

• Handle employee queries, safety and health matters, and manage employee movements and transfers.
• Support line managers with talent reviews, performance management and the annual compensation cycle, including salary review calibration.
• Participate in recruitment for non‑standard local positions and manage the full hiring process.
• Conduct disciplinary and grievance investigations, formal hearings and ensure compliance with employee‑relations procedures.
• Lead exit processes, perform exit interviews and provide feedback to leadership on retention risks.
• Deliver employee education and training on policies, procedures and legal requirements.
• Develop and implement employee‑relations strategies and foster a harmonious work environment.
• Carry out internal investigations of complaints or policy violations and advise on employment matters within the local legal framework.
• Continuously seek improvements to the employee experience, HR service quality, efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, compensation, employee relations and compliance.
• Ability to advise managers on disciplinary processes, risk assessment and performance issues.
• Experience conducting investigations, hearings and exit interviews.
• Strong orientation towards improving HR processes and employee experience.
• Knowledge of Ecuadorian labour legislation and HR best practices.
