Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Housekeeping Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences across staterooms, public areas, and crew spaces on board. This role combines operational oversight with hands‑on leadership to ensure cleanliness, safety, and brand standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations for assigned staterooms, top suites/lofts, decks, and public/crew areas, including the pool deck.
• Maintain the look, feel, and maintenance standards of all guest‑facing spaces.
• Support the Housekeeping Manager in achieving division objectives and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Lead, train, and recognize supervisors and crew members, maintaining a strong floor presence.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment in line with safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of housekeeping managerial experience in a large 4‑ or 5‑star hotel (500+ rooms), cruise line, or comparable hospitality setting.
• Experience supervising a team of at least 10 employees.
• High school diploma or equivalent education, training, or experience.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and safety protocols.
