Accounting & Finance Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting & Finance Specialist to support our finance department remotely. The role involves day‑to‑day accounting, billing, payroll assistance, reporting and financial tracking for a fast‑paced, near‑shore team. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, highly organized and comfortable communicating via video throughout the workday.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily accounting and finance operations.
• Track incoming and outgoing financial activity, including billing, payments, payroll‑related items and expenses.
• Assist with invoicing, payment tracking and reconciliation.
• Coordinate payroll and generate payroll‑related reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records, spreadsheets and internal tracking reports.
• Use Excel, Apple Numbers, Google Sheets or similar tools to organize and analyze data.
• Provide month‑end close support, account reconciliations and reporting as needed.
• Communicate daily with internal teams via Slack and Google Meet.
• Participate in video meetings throughout the workday.
• Collaborate with finance leadership to ensure accuracy, timeliness and consistency across processes.
• Identify discrepancies or process issues and escalate appropriately.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, billing, payroll or related functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work remotely and stay engaged throughout the day using Slack and Google Meet.
• Comfortable appearing on video for meetings and daily interactions.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.
