Accountant – Hospitality Clients

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to support the financial reporting and month‑end close for a portfolio of hospitality clients. The role involves working across multiple hotel properties, ensuring accurate journal entries, reconciliations and timely delivery of financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting tasks, prepare and post journal entries.
• Support month‑end close activities and meet strict client deadlines.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity by cleaning up and reconciling accounts.
• Learn and operate client‑specific hospitality platforms, ERP tools and reporting structures.
• Deliver consistent, accurate service in line with Howard Financial’s standards.

Required profile

• 1–3+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ability to work independently while communicating clearly with internal teams and clients.
• Highly organized with a sharp eye for detail.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hospitality systems such as Opera and POS platforms.
• Experience or aptitude to learn Ottimate, Acumatica and ProfitSword.
• Proficiency in standard accounting software and ERP tools.
