Sr Software Installation Specialist

About the role

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Senior Software Installation Specialist to lead the installation of complex medical software solutions at customer sites. You will work within a global, diverse team that values innovation, sustainability, and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Execute installation of Varian software suites at customer locations.
• Provide first‑line support for problem resolution, both remotely and onsite.
• Facilitate training and mentoring of software rigging personnel and installation representatives.
• Track training progress of new hires and audit installer performance.
• Participate in special projects, new product introductions, and first‑installations of new releases.
• Assist with complex upgrades following VMS Service Technical Bulletins.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of experience in software installation or service, preferably with Varian products.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose software and standard IT systems.
• Strong communication skills to support installers and mentor team members.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of MS SQL databases.
• Experience with Windows Server and Windows Client architecture.
• Familiarity with Citrix, Parallels and virtual server hosting.
• Understanding of cloud architecture for hosting applications.
• In‑depth knowledge of Varian Software Suite ARIA and ECLIPSE; ETHOS knowledge is a plus.
