Staff Accountant – Remote (Ecuador)

About the role

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team supporting our growing portfolio of U.S.-based clients. This remote‑first position is based in Ecuador and offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office each week.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain financial records, general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations and support the monthly close process.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial performance analysis.
• Manage documentation for accounts payable, treasury and audit requests.
• Conduct monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support external audits and tax‑related inquiries.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Supervisor and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting compliant with U.S. GAAP.

Required profile

• Fluent English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical and well‑organized.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite or QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting standards.
