Senior MuleSoft Integration Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Senior MuleSoft Integration Architect to lead the design and implementation of the bank’s integration models, API standards, and event‑driven architectures. You will work closely with internal and third‑party teams to ensure governance, performance, and reusable integration capabilities across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Define the bank‑wide API strategy and design integration models for internal and external ecosystems.
• Establish and socialize API standards, governance guidelines, and taxonomy using OpenAPI.
• Design event‑driven integration architectures aligned with enterprise standards.
• Evaluate microservices and APIs for standardization, reuse, and optimal performance.
• Control compliance of team‑delivered APIs and microservices with governance and technical policies.
• Define security and protocol requirements for internal and external interfaces.
• Execute proofs of concept for new integration tools and approaches.
• Promote API monetization opportunities in line with business vision.
• Foster synergies across platforms by enabling reusable components and shared capabilities.

Required profile

• 5+ years designing enterprise integrations and APIs in banking or similarly regulated environments.
• 5+ years hands‑on experience with MuleSoft and API‑led connectivity concepts.
• Strong consultancy and leadership skills to influence stakeholders and drive governance.
• Proven experience defining API strategies, taxonomies, and contract standards (OpenAPI).
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency (B2) and on‑site availability in Quito.
