Project Manager – Enterprise Modernization (Quito)

About the role

North Highland is seeking a Project Manager in Quito to lead delivery of multi‑track enterprise modernization programs, migrating legacy integration platforms to cloud‑native architectures. You will own an end‑to‑end delivery track, work directly with US‑based engineering leaders, and be the primary point of contact for the client.

Key responsibilities

• Own and groom the track backlog in JIRA, writing user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand‑up, refinement, review, retrospective) aligned with Central Time.
• Track progress against milestone gate schedules and drive monthly milestone sign‑off conversations.
• Maintain a transparent risk register, dependency log, and RAID documentation.
• Manage a Tech Lead and an Ecuador delivery sub‑team, conducting weekly 1:1s and overseeing performance and career growth.
• Collaborate with cross‑track teams on dependencies, platform readiness, and hyper‑care preparation.
• Adopt North Highland’s AI tech stack (Claude Code Enterprise, GitHub Copilot, MCP tooling) for story drafting and status reporting.

Required profile

• Strong client‑facing communication skills, able to translate technical details into business language.
• Proven experience leading Agile delivery teams and managing end‑to‑end project lifecycles.
• Ability to prioritize work against fixed‑fee phase plans and surface scope‑time trade‑offs early.
• Leadership experience managing engineers and senior technical staff.
