LLM Engineer (Tools) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for an experienced LLM Engineer (Tools) to design and operate Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that extend large language models with secure, real‑world tool access. You will bridge generative AI models and external systems, enabling seamless API and data‑source interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production‑grade MCP servers for secure tool integration.
• Implement and optimise tool‑calling logic and function schemas using Python or TypeScript.
• Build robust API integrations that allow AI models to execute multi‑step actions.
• Leverage Anthropic SDKs to create agentic workflows and standardised communication protocols.
• Define tool discovery mechanisms and ensure reliable, context‑aware model interactions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to integrate external data sources and improve tool‑driven response performance.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on AI or LLM applications.
• Proven experience designing MCP servers or similar tool‑calling architectures.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
