Junior/Mid Full Stack Software Engineer (C#/.NET, AWS)

About the role
North Highland is looking for a Junior to Mid‑level Full Stack Software Engineer to join its Quito team. You will help migrate an outbound EDI platform to AWS‑based microservices, using C#/.NET and AI‑augmented development tools.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend modules with C#/.NET.
- Design PostgreSQL schemas and manage data migrations.
- Write unit and end‑to‑end tests and support CI/CD pipelines.
- Build APIs, microservices, and AWS deployment pipelines (Lambda, API Gateway, S3).
- Collaborate with a US‑based engineering team in stand‑ups, PR reviews, and client‑visible discussions.
- Leverage AI coding assistants such as Copilot or Claude to accelerate development.
Required profile
- 2–4 years of software development experience.
- Strong written English; verbal skills can develop on the job.
- Authorized to work in Ecuador without sponsorship.
Required skills
- C# / .NET
- PostgreSQL or other relational databases
- Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Unit testing frameworks
- Angular (exposure)
- AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3)
- Familiarity with AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude)
