HR Business Partner – Ecuador

About the role

Symrise is seeking a local HR Business Partner for its Ecuador site to drive HR strategy implementation and provide day‑to‑day operational support. You will act as the primary advisor to local leadership and the main point of contact for employees, ensuring high‑touch HR processes are delivered effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Handle employee queries, safety, and health management on a daily basis.
• Manage employee movements, transfers and support line managers with talent reviews, performance management and the annual compensation cycle.
• Review compensation packages, calibrate salary increases and address employee questions within the C&B framework.
• Participate in recruitment for non‑standard local positions, providing requisition details and contributing to hiring decisions.
• Conduct disciplinary and grievance investigations, formal hearings and ensure compliance with employee‑relations procedures.
• Lead exit processes, conduct interviews and feed insights back to leadership to improve retention.
• Deliver employee education on policies, procedures and legal requirements.
• Advise managers on disciplinary processes, risk assessment and performance‑related issues.
• Implement employee‑relations strategies aligned with corporate goals and maintain a harmonious work environment.
• Conduct internal investigations into complaints, allegations or policy violations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar HR advisory role.
• Strong knowledge of Ecuadorian labor legislation and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment, compensation, relations and exits.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and influence local leadership.
