Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the day‑to‑day operations of all housekeeping areas on board, ensuring that accommodation, public, crew and pool spaces meet Royal Caribbean International’s high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage operational activities across accommodation, public, crew and pool areas, day or night shifts.
• Support the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Manager in achieving division objectives.
• Lead and supervise a team of at least 10 housekeeping staff, ensuring consistent service quality.
• Maintain compliance with cleaning techniques, chemical handling, safety procedures and equipment usage.
• Monitor and enforce professional conduct with guests and fellow employees in line with the Royal Way.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a large 4‑ or 5‑star hotel (500+ rooms), cruise line or related hospitality environment.
• Experience supervising a team of at least ten employees.
• Strong knowledge of proper cleaning methods, chemical safety, PPE and job‑safety analysis.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, pushing or pulling heavy equipment and garbage removal.
• Good command of English; additional languages (Spanish, French) are a plus.

• Cleaning techniques and chemical handling.
• Safety procedures and personal protective equipment usage.
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Excel, Word.
• Familiarity with hospitality software: SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, Kronos.
