Elixir Backend Engineer (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Elixir Backend Engineer to join our talent network and work remotely on projects for US‑based clients. You will become part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate directly into the client’s team and collaborate with designers and engineers.
• Design, implement and maintain robust APIs using Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Build and support backend services that power mobile applications (React Native).
• Integrate third‑party APIs and maintain connectivity with external systems.
• Maintain and improve legacy codebases, ensuring reliability and maintainability.
• Write automated tests and uphold code quality standards.
• Set up and manage containerised environments with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven production experience with Elixir and Phoenix.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
