Data Architect – Python & MySQL (Remote)

About the role

As a Data Architect at BairesDev, you will design and implement the foundational data structures needed for legacy system modernization and scalable data pipelines. You will work remotely, collaborating with global engineering teams to ensure data flows efficiently and securely across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and govern data architecture for legacy modernization and scalable pipelines.
• Build and optimize ETL processes using Python and MySQL.
• Define and enforce standards for data modeling, storage, and architectural best practices.
• Architect cloud‑native solutions on AWS with a focus on scalability and cost efficiency.
• Partner with engineering teams to decompose monolithic systems and integrate modern data platforms.
• Embed data governance, quality checks, and compliance measures into the architecture.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture or data engineering.
• Proven track record designing data solutions for legacy modernization.
• Strong expertise with Python and MySQL for data development.
• Extensive experience with ETL processes and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to define data standards and best practices in complex environments.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
