AI Principal Engineer

About the role

Improvado is seeking a hands‑on AI Principal Engineer to shape the future of AI‑powered marketing intelligence. You will work directly with the CEO and VP of Product on high‑impact initiatives, moving seamlessly from architecture decisions to production code and client conversations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI‑driven features from concept to production, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Build and evolve intelligent agents using modern LLM frameworks, including memory systems, knowledge‑graph design, multi‑agent orchestration, and retrieval pipelines.
• Drive technical architecture decisions for your focus area and maintain high code quality.
• Write production‑ready code, own end‑to‑end outcomes, and define success metrics such as model performance and user adoption.
• Own the architecture of the AI Agent product and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Strong execution mindset with a willingness to work in a fast‑paced, 6‑day workweek environment.
• Deep experience building AI/ML systems, preferably with LLMs in production.
• Excellent English communication skills for client and internal technical discussions.
• Previous experience in startups or rapid‑growth settings is a plus.

Required skills

• Modern AI tooling: prompt engineering, vector databases, Claude/Opus, Claude Code or similar agentic coding environments.
• Experience with LLM frameworks, memory systems, knowledge‑graph design, multi‑agent orchestration, and retrieval pipelines.
