AI Principal Engineer

About the role

Improvado is seeking a hands‑on AI Principal Engineer to shape the future of AI‑powered marketing intelligence. You will work directly with the CEO and VP of Product on high‑impact initiatives, moving from architecture decisions to production code and client conversations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement core AI‑powered features from architecture to production.
• Build and evolve intelligent agents using modern LLM frameworks, including memory systems, knowledge‑graph design, multi‑agent orchestration, and retrieval pipelines.
• Drive technical architecture decisions for your focus area and ensure high code quality and reliability.
• Write scalable, production‑ready code and own outcomes end‑to‑end.
• Define and track success metrics such as model performance, user satisfaction, and adoption.
• Own the architecture of the AI Agent product.

Required profile

• A catalyst for action with a relentless drive for execution in a fast‑paced environment.
• Deep experience building AI/ML systems, preferably with LLMs in production (agents, retrieval, orchestration, evaluation).
• Strong product instincts and ability to solve real user problems.
• Excellent communicator in English, comfortable leading technical discussions with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Previous startup or rapid‑growth experience is a plus.
• Availability for a 6‑day workweek with overlap with US time zones (until 6 pm PST).
