School Doctor – Student Health Services

About the role

The School Doctor will provide comprehensive medical care and health services to students, ensuring their physical well‑being and supporting a safe learning environment. Working closely with school staff, the role contributes to the development and implementation of health policies that align with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver primary medical assessment, treatment, and follow‑up care to students.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review school health policies and procedures.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on student health and wellness metrics.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address individual and collective health needs.
• Identify and act on safeguarding and health‑and‑safety concerns in accordance with school protocols.

Required profile

• Medical degree and a valid licence to practice.
• Minimum five years of experience in paediatric, school, or community medicine.
• Certification in school health is preferred.
• Commitment to safeguarding children and young people, with willingness to undergo background checks.
