Restaurant Accountant with QuickBooks Online Expertise

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented accountant with restaurant and QuickBooks Online experience to join our collaborative finance team. You will work remotely, supporting a portfolio of hospitality clients by ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily financial records, categorize expenses, and manage the general ledger in QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile daily POS sales reports with cash deposits, credit‑card payouts, and third‑party delivery app transactions.
• Process vendor invoices, track food & beverage and labor costs, and ensure timely payments.
• Monitor key restaurant metrics such as COGS and labor percentages.
• Perform monthly bank and credit‑card reconciliations and generate basic profit & loss statements for owners/managers.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in the restaurant/hospitality sector.
• Strong practical experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Availability 9 AM–5 PM EST, Monday to Friday.
