Head of Distribution – Ecuador

About the role

As the Head of Distribution for AIG in Ecuador, you will lead the national strategy across brokers, sponsors, agents and direct clients. You will be the champion for new and existing business initiatives, working closely with the Country General Manager and product managers to drive growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead relationships with brokers to increase retention, acquire new business and meet financial targets.
• Develop and execute strategies to boost engagement and profitable growth across all distribution channels.
• Coordinate monthly Production Meetings and leverage Salesforce to monitor performance and drive results.
• Define and communicate underwriting appetite and value proposition to brokers.
• Monitor executive performance, ensuring portfolio growth and achievement of sales budgets.
• Drive retention through high‑level service and proactive renewal management.
• Identify high‑potential prospects and pipeline opportunities aligned with risk appetite.
• Organize broker‑focused events and training aligned with the company’s risk appetite.
• Implement Tier 2 & 3 broker incentive campaigns and improve client pipeline.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading distribution or sales functions within the insurance sector.
• Strong ability to work with senior stakeholders such as Country GM and product managers.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting sales budgets and driving profitable growth.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with brokers and internal teams.
