Accountant – Hospitality Experience Required

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented accountant with hospitality industry experience to join Howard Financial’s remote team. You will work closely with a collaborative group of bookkeepers, controllers and FP&A professionals, delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting client growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple clients, including AP/AR, bank and credit‑card reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Prepare, review and analyse monthly financial statements, management reports, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and relevant regulations, addressing discrepancies proactively.
• Perform job costing, project accounting and budget‑to‑actual analysis as required.
• Support tax compliance by preparing documentation, liaising with external tax advisors and assisting audit requests.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, providing insights to improve financial operations.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and U.S. GAAP.
• Fluent English (B2+) and comfortable communicating with high‑profile clients.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, remote environment with a growth mindset.
• Availability 9 AM–5 PM EST, Monday‑Friday.
