Virtual Medical Receptionist / RN Care Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an exceptionally organized, clinically trained Virtual Medical Assistant and Patient Care Coordinator. The role supports a multi‑specialty practice (Orthopedics, Pain Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehab, Neurology) by managing high‑volume case files and coordinating communication with patients, providers, and legal partners.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls, texts, and emails with a professional, clinically grounded presence.
• Execute insurance verifications, prior authorizations, and benefits tracking for Commercial, Personal Injury, and Workers’ Compensation plans.
• Manage complex Workers’ Comp and Personal Injury case files, maintaining detailed charts and coordinating provider schedules.
• Review, organize, and manage patient case files, applying clinical judgment to treatment plans and provider notes.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and align medical records with external legal and insurance partners.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license – non‑negotiable.
• Minimum 3 years of hospital or acute‑care nursing experience.
• At least 2 years as a Virtual Medical Assistant or Remote Patient Care Coordinator.
• English‑only candidates based in the Philippines or bilingual English‑Spanish candidates based in LATAM.
• Hands‑on experience with Commercial, Personal Injury, and Workers’ Compensation insurance processes.

Required skills

• Electronic Health Record (EHR) management.
• Calendar management and multi‑channel messaging (phone, text, email).
• Insurance verification and processing for Commercial, PI, and Workers’ Comp claims.
• Prior authorizations and benefits tracking.
• Medical chart documentation and audit‑ready record keeping.
