Technical Service Specialist - E-Coat

About the role

Axalta is looking for a Technical Service Specialist in Quito to support customers with e-coat processes. The role focuses on helping customers solve technical issues, complete PPAP tests and run e-coat systems successfully, and building strong relationships with customer teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product quality investigations using structured problem solving and report the results.
• Respond quickly to customer needs and help them solve technical issues with professional troubleshooting.
• Focus on the e-coat process, new E-coat line launches, trial reports and line surveys for key customers and projects.
• Help customers finish PPAP tests and run the e-coat system successfully.
• Lead regular training or workshops so customers can carry out routine tests, e-coat bath parameters and PT parameters.
• Build critical relationships with customer process, engineering and manufacturing teams to support the growth plan.

Required profile

• At least five years of experience in e-coat technical service.
• Undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or another technical field.
• Familiarity with e-coat application equipment, processes and products; formulation knowledge is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build customer relationships.
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team.
