Tech Professional – Cementing (Quito, Ecuador)

About the role

We are seeking a technical professional specialized in cementing to join our Quito team. The role combines engineering expertise with commercial acumen to deliver tailored cementing solutions for our customers in the energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Development to match Halliburton’s technical, commercial and operational capabilities to customer needs.
• Deliver technical sales presentations and maintain personal relationships to sell customized cementing solutions.
• Prepare tender submissions and develop Performance Optimization Plans, including deployment of new technology and processes.
• Design cementing jobs for complex isolation challenges, provide post‑job analysis and share learn‑outs through case histories and industry papers.
• Investigate irregular jobs, initiate and close corrective, preventive and improvement actions.
• Support PSL managers in improving material, equipment and personnel utilization to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
• Recruit, mentor and develop the cementing technical team, handling performance assessments and disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR.

Required profile

• Strong background in cementing engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Proven ability to combine technical knowledge with commercial considerations.
• Experience in preparing technical proposals and delivering presentations to customers.
• Leadership skills to recruit, mentor and manage a technical team.
