Spanish Quality Assurance Lead (Remote Contract)

About the role

This remote, hourly contract position is for a Spanish Quality Assurance Lead who will oversee the quality and consistency of Spanish AI training data. You will evaluate AI‑generated content and trainer work, provide detailed feedback, and ensure that all contributors meet the project’s linguistic and cultural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review Spanish AI‑generated content and trainer/QA outputs against detailed rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback in English and Spanish to improve accuracy, fluency, tone, and cultural appropriateness.
• Identify recurring quality issues and communicate updates to trainers and QA teams.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.
• Monitor contributor activity and reactivate inconsistent workers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, Education, Quality Assurance or a related field.
• Native or near‑native Spanish proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong command of English for following guidelines and providing feedback.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Spanish writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation or similar workflows.
• Familiarity with both Latin American and European Spanish variants and ability to specify supported variants.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers or QAs.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Spanish grammar, spelling, punctuation, accents, tone, register and cultural context.
• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and spot issues such as mistranslation, unnatural phrasing, missing accents, hallucinated claims, ambiguity or inconsistent terminology.
