Spanish Language Expert - Remote

About the role

We are looking for a native or near‑native Spanish speaker to help train next‑generation AI systems. Working remotely, you will ensure that Spanish content used for model training meets the highest linguistic quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Spot‑check Spanish items, identify quality issues, and provide feedback through Discord DMs.
• Communicate updates, guidelines, and workflow changes to trainers and QA contributors.
• Answer language‑related questions about grammar, tone, register, cultural context, and regional variants.
• Activate and monitor remote contributors, encouraging participation and tracking availability.
• Create and maintain project documentation such as style guides, FAQs, trackers, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Schedule and deliver onboarding and training sessions for new team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native Spanish proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Excellent English proficiency for following guidelines and communicating with the team.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Spanish writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, or related workflows.
• Deep knowledge of Spanish grammar, spelling, punctuation, accents, tone, register, and cultural nuances for both Latin American and European variants.
• Experience leading or supporting remote annotation or QA teams is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Discord for real‑time communication.
• Experience using Google Sheets and Google Docs for tracking and documentation.
• Familiarity with project‑management and dashboard tools.
