Software Engineer (Lua) – Remote

About the role

Join a high‑impact team building performance‑critical gateway infrastructure. You will work on authentication, routing, and session management systems where every millisecond counts.

Key responsibilities

• Write and maintain Lua code that runs in the hot path of gateway services.
• Ensure reliability and low latency of authentication and routing under high load.
• Debug and resolve latency and failover issues in distributed environments.
• Contribute to observability, monitoring, and safe staged‑rollout practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Lua.
• Hands‑on experience with Redis (connection pooling, timeouts, failover, latency debugging).
• Experience with JWT/OIDC, gateway routing, and tenant‑aware request handling.
• Knowledge of p99 performance optimization and a safety‑first mindset for hot‑path code.
• Advanced English communication skills.
