Senior .NET Developer – Azure Event‑Driven Services (6‑month contract)

About the role

You will own critical backend services within a large‑scale enterprise integration platform, designing and delivering event‑driven, cloud‑native solutions on Microsoft Azure. This is a 6‑month contract position working closely with a US‑based team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features of the core integration layer from concept to production.
• Implement event‑driven architectures using Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions.
• Collaborate with the Principal Architect, tech leads, and peers to ensure scalable, consistent solutions across business verticals.
• Take full ownership of tasks, driving them from planning through delivery with minimal supervision.
• Communicate progress, blockers, and technical decisions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Champion code quality, testing, and CI/CD best practices; actively participate in code reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues in a distributed cloud environment using Application Insights or similar APM tools.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, preferably with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET 6/8 ecosystem.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, and Application Insights.
• Demonstrated ability to design robust, scalable RESTful APIs and apply Domain‑Driven Design principles.
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and unit/integration testing (TDD a plus).
• Comfortable using AI‑assisted development tools such as Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor.
• Excellent English communication skills for collaboration with US‑based stakeholders.
