Senior Insurance Accounting Analyst

About the role

VUMI® is seeking a Senior Insurance Accounting Analyst to ensure the integrity of its financial records and support the launch of its Life & Investment Division in September 2026. The role bridges operational data from policy administration systems with the company’s accounting ledger, guaranteeing accurate reporting and audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post operational journal entries in compliance with US GAAP and applicable statutory standards.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring proper classification and consistency across subsidiary ledgers.
• Reconcile GL balances with operational platforms such as the Truly policy administration system, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Perform detailed account analyses, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Assist in establishing the accounting framework, chart of accounts, and internal controls for the new division.

Required profile

• Senior‑level accounting professional with strong knowledge of US GAAP and statutory accounting requirements.
• Experience working with policy administration or similar operational systems.
• Proven ability to collaborate with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to resolve data integrity issues.
• Detail‑oriented with a track record of maintaining audit‑ready documentation.
