About the role

LanguagesCX is seeking a full‑time remote interpreter to provide real‑time Spanish‑to‑English and English‑to‑Spanish medical interpretation for healthcare professionals and patients. The role supports consultations, follow‑up visits, and administrative interactions via phone or video.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, real‑time medical interpretation over phone or video platforms.
• Clarify terminology when needed to ensure mutual understanding.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA or equivalent privacy standards.
• Document interpretation sessions as required.
• Collaborate with the LanguagesCX team to uphold service quality.
• Participate in periodic training and follow internal guidelines.
• Ensure reliable availability during scheduled shifts.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Proficiency in medical translation and interpretation between Spanish and English.
• Experience in English teaching or language training.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development related to medical terminology and ethics.
• Native or near‑native fluency in both Spanish and English.
• Familiarity with medical settings and privacy regulations.
• Reliable high‑speed internet and a suitable remote work environment.
• Relevant certification in medical or community interpreting (highly beneficial).
