Remote Rust Engineer

About the role

Join BairesDev as a Rust Engineer and build high‑performance backend services that power critical applications for global clients. You will work remotely, collaborating with a distributed team of top‑tier engineers to deliver fast, memory‑safe solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop performance‑critical backend services and system‑level applications using Rust.
• Implement efficient, non‑blocking I/O and asynchronous patterns.
• Build scalable API architectures with gRPC or JSON‑RPC.
• Integrate and optimise data persistence using PostgreSQL.
• Orchestrate deployment and lifecycle management in AWS environments.
• Profile performance and benchmark to eliminate bottlenecks.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience focused on Rust and systems programming.
• Proven track record building backend services with frameworks such as Actix or Axum.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design and optimisation.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming and concurrent system design.
• Experience with communication protocols like gRPC or JSON‑RPC.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
